Ariel’s work explores the sensibilities of humans, animals, and everyday objects through traditional printmaking techniques, including relief and screen printing.

These techniques easily lend themselves to her work as they require focus and precision, but also embrace imperfection. This is all revealed through the physicality of the process. By observing the gestures and poses of the figures, or the spontaneous compositions of the various linoleum plates, her goal is to transform the ordinary into something unexpected and whimsical.
